Interviews with Practitioners Who Use Honso Products: What They Think

can be caused by a number of factors making it difficult for
practitioners of both conventional and TCM medicine to treat. Women
suffering from Premature Ovarian Failure and Pelvic Inflammatory
Disease, two commonly seen problems associated with difficulties in
conceiving, often have limited treatment options. This article examines

College in Illinois until 1975, received a B.S. in Human Biology,

since 1982, specializing in Japanese styles. He has studied in Japan and
in the U.S. with Masahilo Nakazono, Yoshio Manaka, and other masters. For
the past 20 years he has continued to pursue studies in Japanese five
phase meridian therapy. Meridian therapy is largely based on the
practitioner's palpatory skills, ability to feel Qi and specialized

Shan Liang, former Academic Dean of
East-West College of Natural Medicine, is a Florida-licensed
acupuncture physician and a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology.
He attended medical training at Shandong University School of Medicine in
China, which only offers simultaneous conventional and Traditional Chinese
medicine training. He was invited to Tampa’s Suncoast Center for Natural
Health teaching Acupuncture and TCM in 1992. Since then he has

Akio
Oiso, M.D., L.Ac., FAAP., a pediatrician, is the Medical Director
of Nippon Clinic in
Chicago. Nippon Clinic provides both
Western & Oriental medical care to patients and located in Chicago, San
Diego, Atlanta, and New York. Dr. Oiso was licensed as an acupuncturist in
1973 in Tokyo Japan and came to USA in 1975 for the purpose of teaching
acupuncture. He eventually developed his career to become a board
certified pediatrician in 1986 and worked in medical practice ever since.

Diane Iuliano, L.Ac., graduated from Boston College
with a B.F.A. in 1979. She received her Diploma of Acupuncture from New
England School of Acupuncture in 1992, the same year she became licensed
to practice in Massachusetts, and her Master of Acupuncture in 1997. She
has been an instructor and clinical supervisor at
NESA since 1993 and since 1997 has been
co-chair of the Japanese Acupuncture Department.

University and a Master’s in Acupuncture,
graduating from NIOM in 2000.
He practiced massage therapy from 1994 to 1997, then shiatsu from 1997
to 2000. Since 2000 he has been in private practice in Washington and
Oregon as an acupuncturist specializing in Japanese meridian therapy and

Master’s degree in Acupuncture, graduated from Hubei College of
Tradit ional Chinese Medicine in Wuhan China in 1988 with five years in
Chinese medicine and three years in graduate study of acupuncture. She was
then instructor and attending physician at the Institute of
Traditional Chinese Medicine and
Acupuncture in Jinan University School of Medicine, Guangzhou,
China for 5 years. Dr. Li has practiced acupuncture and Chinese medicine in
Minnesota and Missouri for 7 years before moving to Arizona in 2000, where
she has been engaged in teaching and clinical practice ever since.
