Clinical Guidelines for Cancer Patients with Chemo/radiotherapy - Acupuncture Needling Techniques and Herbal Medicine

Dr. Ruan Jin Zhao received his Ph.D. in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Cellular Biology from Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology in 1990. He studied clinical medicine for 6 years under the contemporary medicinal sage Prof. Du Zhou Liu then went on to study cellular biology on virus disease and cancer research. Dr. Zhao is an affiliate member of H. Lee Moffitt Cancer Center in Tampa, Florida. For years he engaged himself in cancer and virus research and clinical practice in The Center For Traditional Chinese Medicine in Sarasota, Florida. He is the author of “From Legend to Science” and many research publications.

Traditional Chinese Herbal Medicine for Gastroenterological & Liver Diseases

Dr. Haihe Tian has studied Chinese medicine at Beijing University of Chinese Medicine and Pharmacology for 11 years and graduated with a Ph.D. He was trained under some of the most highly recognized and revered traditional Chinese medicine physicians such as Jian Hua Dong in gastroenterology in China. He began practicing and teaching Chinese herbal medicine and acupuncture in Florida in 1997. He has held professional positions such as board member of AAOM, committee member of doctoral program of CCAOM, and ACAOM site visitor. He has published professional papers and contributed to over 20 medical books.

Evidence-based Approaches to Treatment of Fibromyalgia Syndrome (FMS) and Chronic Fatique Syndrome (CFS)

Dr. Shan Liang is a Florida-licensed acupuncture physician and a Diplomate in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbology. He attended medical training at Shandong University School of Medicine in China, which only offers simultaneous conventional and Traditional Chinese medicine training. Since 1992 he has continuously taught acupuncture and Chinese medicine at several schools in Florida, and educates the public in these fields at the University of South Florida and Hillsborough Community College campus in the Tampa Bay area. He now runs a successful private practice and teaches at East West College of Natural Medicine.

Treating Chronic Diseases with Classical Chinese Herbal Formulas: the Research You Can Apply in Your Practice

Dr. Dan Wen has over 20 years of clinical and laboratory research experience in the use and integration of Chinese herbal and Western medicines including an award winning research program at the Digestive Research of Guangzhou TCM University in China, a 3-year research fellowship in gastroenterology at Mayo Clinic. His research in vitamin absorption at the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis was supported by an NIH grant. Currently he is involved in 2 clinical studies with Honso USA, Inc. on treating hepatitis and liver cirrhosis using Chinese herbal formulas at prestigious medical institutions in New York and San Diego.
